”Working with clay has never ceased to interest me with every kiln fired there is always something new to discover and improve upon.
I am inspired by the surrounding of Flora and the local dragonfly in my area of the Blue Mountains. I also am interested in the Architecture of Islam, the repetitive patterns that are adorned on their buildings give many possibilities to follow.
At the present I am fascinated by translucency and the way light can illuminate through the porcelain. By carving through the clay I am creating layers of varying light that bringing warmth to the work.”
